We investigated and found that this pond is not in Zimbabwe, but in Russia. In the viral picture, some minor editing has also been done around the edges of the pond. What’s in the viral post? A heart-shaped pond can be seen in the viral post. The viral post is claiming “A large heart-shaped body of water in a mountainous landscape is shows a “pond” called “God’s hand”, in Zimbabwe.” See the archive link of this post here. Investigation To investigate this post, we first searched this picture on Google reverse image. We found many pictures of this pond. But in these pictures, the edges of the pond were not as sharp as in the viral picture. We found photos of this pond on Dreamstime, Shutterstock, and Alamy. According to the information on all these photo agencies, “the blue heart-shaped lake is in the Kadykovsky mine, Balaclava, Sevastopol, Crimea, Russia.” We searched with keywords to see if there is a heart-shaped ‘God’s Hand’ pond in Zimbabwe. We could not find any such information on any authentic website. For further confirmation, we called Crimea Marvel Quest Tours, a well-known travel agency in Crimea. We talked to one of their managers. We shared the viral picture with him and he told us that this heart-shaped pond is in Balaklava (Sevastopol) in Crimea. We also found this place on Google Maps. According to information, this is the Kadikovsky mine pond, which is in the Balaclava district in the city of Sevastopol. This post was shared by a Facebook user named Pat Butikofer. The user is a resident of Springfield, Missouri. Conclusion: We investigated and found that this pond is not in Zimbabwe, but in Russia. In the viral picture, some minor editing has also been done around the edges of the pond. - Claim Review : A large heart-shaped body of water in a mountainous landscape is shows a “pond” called “God’s hand”, in Zimbabwe - Claimed By : Pat Butikofer - Fact Check : False Know the truth!
