  • Fact Check: Mukesh Ambani not distributing money to public on the occasion of his son Anant’s marriage with Radhika Mukesh Ambani son Anant Ambani’s wedding with Radhika Merchant is scheduled on July 12, 2024. The duo was engaged January last year, while their pre-wedding festivities have started on March 1 in Gujarat’s Jamnagar. Claim :Mukesh Ambani is giving Rs 5000 to all Indians, on the occasion of his son’s marriage Fact :The link associated with this post is a hoax. There is no such offer by Jio or Mukesh Ambani. Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani’s wedding with Radhika Merchant is scheduled for July 12, 2024. The duo was engaged in January last year, while their pre-wedding festivities started on March 1 in Gujarat’s Jamnagar. The three-day extravagant affair was celebrated in Gujarat's Jamnagar with prominent guests including business tycoons, high-profile politicians, Hollywood and Bollywood stars, and cricketers from across the world attending it. While crores of rupees were spent on the pre-wedding celebrations, a message claiming that Mukesh Ambani is giving away Rs 5000 to every Indian on the occasion of his son’s marriage is in circulation on social media. A Facebook user named Hapiloo shared an image with a claim in Telugu “Jio ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ ₹5000 వరకు బహుమతిని అందిస్తోంది”. A link can also be seen attached to this image. The link is seen as Jio. Hapiloo, with the text ‘Only for 5 mins’ with a get offer button. The text in Telugu claims that the money could be transferred immediately into one’s account. The image also has text in Telugu that claims “ముకేశ్ అంబానీ తన కొడుకు పెళ్లి సందర్భంగా భారతీయులకు 5000 ఇస్తున్నారు. ఖాతా లోకి డబ్బును విత్ డ్రా చేసుకోవడానికి ఇక్కడ క్లిక్ చేయండి” When translated, it claims: ‘Mukesh Ambani is giving away Rs 500 on the occasion of his son’s marriage. Click here to withdraw money into the account’ Fact check: The claim is False. Mukesh Ambani is not distributing any money. When we searched Jio.com, we found no such offer, but a cashback offer can be seen on the purchase of the Xolo ZX phone. When we clicked on the link attached to the image shared on Facebook, we found that the page opened had no relation with Jio or Mukesh Ambani. The link was diverted to a page with the URL - https://happiloo.xyz/Boss/ The page claims to be offering a Holi cashback offer for Phonepe users. There is a scratch card on the page which when scratched offers Rs 1,990 on Phonepe and not Rs 5000. A button stating ‘Click here to send money to bank’ can be seen on the page. But when clicked it can be seen directing to various accounts. Here is the screenshot. Hence, the claim that the image leads to the link where Mukesh Ambani is donating money on the occasion of his son’s marriage is False. It is a hoax link leading to a suspicious page that deducts money from our bank account. Beware of such hoax links.
