Fact Check: One Direction is a hugely successful pop band that was formed in London in 2012, before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016. Members of the popular boy band issued statements mourning the loss of Payne, according to ABC News. Payne reportedly fell out of a third story window at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the preliminary cause of death being reported by Fox News to be from an “internal and external hemorrhage.” Shortly before #LiamPayne fell to his death from a balcony, a hotel manager reportedly called #911 to report the former #OneDirection star was wasted and destroying his room.
