schema:text	Last Updated on September 11, 2024 by Nivedita Fact Check Following the death of German doctor, Dr. Thomas Jendges, multiple social media users have claimed that the doctor has left behind a note saying “COVID-19 vaccines are genocide.” We fact-checked and found that the claim is false. The Claim “In Germany, the Head of the Chemnitz Clinic, Dr Thomas Jendges, committed suicide saying he no longer wants to be part of the Genocide happening vis the COVID-19 Vaccine,” reads an article published on a website. The same has also been shared on tweet too. Fact Check Did Dr. Jendges left behind a suicide note claiming that COVID-19 vaccines are genocide? No. There is no evidence of any suicide note. Though it is true that Dr. Jendges has committed suicide, there is no evidence of any suicide note. The police had also not confirmed anything about any suicide note. The German media has also not published any news about a suicide note. Spokespersons for both the city of Chemnitz and the local police force has confirmed Reuters that they have not recovered any suicide note from the place of suicide. In fact, Dr. Jendges supported COVID-19 vaccines. and publicly spoken in support on August 31 at the opening of a Central Vaccination Center at the clinic. A press release by Chemnitz quoted Jendges as saying, “Vaccination reduces the risk of an infection and a serious illness from SARS-CoV-2.” An article widely shared on social media also claims that Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Chief Medical Advisor to the President of United States, recently changed his stance on the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines and commented that vaccines are not working as advertised. The social media users and the news websites who have published the claim did not publish any snapshot of the suicide note either.
