  • Fact Check: Mega Brothers, Ram Charan Did Not Take Selfie At Ayodhya Consecration Ceremony PM Narendra Modi unveiled the Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bacchan, Tamil Superstar Rajnikanth, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, etc. were invited and present to witness the ceremony. Claim :Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan took a selfie together at the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya Fact :The image is edited. Two different images have been merged to make it look like one selfie PM Narendra Modi unveiled the Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bacchan, Tamil Superstar Rajnikanth, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, etc. were invited and present to witness the ceremony. Distinguished individuals from various domains, including cricket, films, saint society, politics, art, literature, culture, and other fields, have received invitations to attend the ceremony. Telugu stars like Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan were also present at the ceremony. Meanwhile, a selfie showing Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi together with the Ram Mandir in the background is in circulation. Social media users are sharing the image with ‘#MeGa’. Fact Check: The claim is False. The image is an edited one, it does not show the three stars taking a selfie together. When searched for the image with Google reverse image search, we found the image published by 10tv with the title “Pawan Kalyan : అయోధ్య రామ మందిరంతో పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ సెల్ఫీ.. రామకార్యం అంటే ప్రజా కార్యం..” When translated, it states ‘Pawan Kalyan: Pawan Kalyan selfie with Ayodhya Ram Mandir… Ramakarya means public work’. In that image, we can see only Pawan Kalyan, but not Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. Pawan Kalyan also shared this image on his Twitter account with the caption in Telugu “రామకార్యం అంటే రాజ్య కార్యం ప్రజా కార్యం... జై శ్రీ రామ్”, when translated states “Ramakarya means kingdom work Public work... Jai Shri Ram” When searched for the images of Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in Ayodhya, we found an article on Tollywood.net with the title ‘Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan spotted in Ayodhya’ that shared the image of the stars along with few other people. The same image was shared by another website named goldandhra.com. When compared these images with the viral image, we can see that two different images have been merged to look like one. Here is the comparison. Hence, two different images have been edited to form the viral image and it does not show the selfie taken by all three of them together at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. The claim is False.
