This photo was digitally altered. In the actual photo, Timberlake was wearing a t-shirt with ‘Nike Air’ written on it.
In a recent interview, former President Donald Trump said that everyone wants him to run for President in the 2024 elections in the US. He added that Narendra Modi was doing a terrific job as the Indian Prime Minister.
In the backdrop of these statements, a photo of singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake has gone viral on social media where he can be seen wearing a t-shirt with that proclaimed, “Keep America Trumpless.” Those sharing the photo also shared links to an e-commerce website where one can buy these t-shirts.
AFWA’s investigation found that the viral image is doctored. In the actual photo, Timberlake was wearing a “Nike Air” t-shirt.

A simple reverse search of the viral image led us to the stock photos website Getty images. In this photo, his t-shirt said “Nike Air”. This text appeared to have been digitally removed in the viral photo and replaced with the “Keep America Trumpless.”

As per Getty Images, this photo was shot in New York City when Timberlake was going to the gym on August 10, 2017.
The same day, GQ magazine published a report on Timberlake’s “gym look” with the headline “Justin Timberlake’s Chill Gym Style is a Lesson in Layering.”
In the past, photos of various celebrities like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, former US President Barack Obama, Brad Pitt and Chris Evans were also digitally altered to make them wear similar anti-Trump t-shirts. All of these were debunked.
