  • Fact Check: Viral Picture Of PM Modi Dining With Imran Khan Is Edited Vishvas News’ investigation revealed that this picture of PM Modi dining with former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is fake. In the original picture, Imran’s ex-wife Reham was sitting with him. By: Pallavi Mishra - Published: Mar 5, 2025 at 12:24 PM - Vishvas News (New Delhi): A picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan dining together is going viral on social media, with claims that PM Modi attended an Iftari meal with Imran Khan on the second day of Ramadan. Vishvas News fact-checked the viral post and found it to be fake. In the original picture, Imran Khan’s ex-wife, Reham Khan, was seated next to him, not Prime Minister Modi. What is going viral? On March 3, 2025, the Facebook page ‘Mahakal Ki Deewani‘ shared the viral picture with the caption, “Pathan’s child. Today I understood Narendra Damodar Das Modi. Blind devotees, here is the father of all of you. Today in Nepal, Pathan’s child was having Iftari on the second day of Roza.” Its archived version can be seen here. Investigation To verify the authenticity of the viral picture, we conducted a Google Reverse Image Search using relevant keywords. We found the original picture on several social media posts from 2015. In the original image, Imran Khan’s ex-wife, Reham Khan, is seated next to him. The viral image has been edited, replacing Reham Khan with PM Modi. Next, we traced the source of the image of PM Modi used in the photo. Using Google Lens, we found the original photo in a gallery published by The Indian Express on November 13, 2013, with the caption, “Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi enjoys lunch during a meeting with journalists at his residence in Gandhinagar on Wednesday. (IE Photo: Javed Raja)” Vishvas News had previously investigated this edited photo. At that time, BJP UP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi told Vishvas News, “This edited picture has gone viral multiple times before. Only those who are upset with the reputation of the Prime Minister resort to spreading such fake images.” Upon scanning the Facebook page ‘Mahakal Ki Deewani’ that shared the edited picture, we found that the user has 342 followers. Conclusion: Vishvas News’ investigation revealed that this picture of PM Modi dining with former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is fake. In the original picture, Imran’s ex-wife Reham was sitting with him.
