Fact Check: 9-year-old photo from South Korea passed off as arms sent by the US to Israel
India Today found that the image in question dates back to 2014 and shows bombs displayed at the Kunsan Air Base in the Republic of Korea.

This 2014 image shows bombs on display at Kunsan Air Base in the Republic of Korea.
Israel's Ministry of Defence recently revealed that it has received over 10,000 tonnes of US military equipment since the beginning of the ongoing war with Hamas. Now, an image of a pile of bombs has gone viral on social media.
Allegedly, these were the bombs sent by the US to Israel. One Facebook post containing the photo was captioned, “The third batch of American aid to the Palestinian children has arrived.” The archived version of a similar post can be seen here.
India Today found that the image in question is neither recent nor related to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. Instead, this 2014 image shows bombs displayed at the Kunsan Air Base in the Republic of Korea.
OUR PROBE
A quick reverse search of the viral image led us to a similar picture on the stock photo website Alamy. As per the information there, this photo was taken on October 23, 2014. It shows Blu-109 and Mark-84 bombs displayed at the Wolf Pack Munitions Storage Area in the Kunsan Air Base in the Republic of Korea.
Upon comparing this image with the viral one, we found them to be the same.
Business Insider and several Korean news outlets also used this image in their reports with the same description.
To sum it up, a nine-year-old image is being falsely shared in the context of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
