Such posts can be seen here, here and here. Also Read: Old And Unrelated Videos Falsely Shared As Footage Of British Ship Struck By Houthi Missile We noticed that the date in the banner behind the Chief Minister said “November,” raising our doubts. Further, we also spotted a watermark of news outlet “Aaj Tak” on the top right corner of the viral video. Taking a clue, we did a keyword search for “CM Yogi, Paper Leak, Exam Cancelled and Aaj Tak” on YouTube which led us to a video by the news outlet, dated November 28, 2021, titled “UPTET Paper Leak 2021 पर क्या बोले CM Yogi Adityanath ? | UPTET Exam Cancelled “ Displaying the longer version of the viral video, it stated “The UPTET scheduled to be held on Sunday was cancelled after a question paper for the exam was leaked, an officer here announced shortly before the exam was to begin.” Also Read: Tamil Nadu DMK MLA Thrashing On-Duty Police Officer? No, 2018 Video Viral With False Narrative Multiple reports from November 2021 stated that the UP government had cancelled the TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) examination after the police found that the question paper had been leaked. Adding, that CM Yogi had ordered reconvening of the exam within a month. Such reports can be seen here, here and here. The same was shared by the Chief Minister on his official X account on November 28, 2021. We didn’t find any credible reports stating that Yogi Adityanath cancelled the recent UP Police Exam, or called for reexamination. Furthermore, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has dismissed rumours of an examination paper leak. “Preliminary investigations showed that miscreants are using Telegram’s edit feature to cheat and spread confusion about a paper leak on social media. The board and UP Police are monitoring these incidents and conducting a thorough investigation into their sources. The examination is continuing safely and smoothly,” the board said in a X post on February 18, 2024. Hence, 2021 video of UP CM Yogi Adityanath announcing cancellation of UPTET exam following a paper leak, and ordering a reexamination has been falsely linked to the recently held police constable exam in the state.
