  • Just a couple of days before the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections took place on Nov. 17, 2023, a video has been shared on social media with a claim that the BJP leaders are being chased away from booths in the state. Here’s the video that claimed in Hindi: “मध्यप्रदेश में वोटिंग होने से पहले ही जनता ने रिजल्ट देना शुरू कर दिया है मध्यप्रदेश में सत्ताधारी नेताओ को जनता खदेड़ रही है वीडियो पूरा देखो और RT करो बस.” [Translated version reads: “Even before the voting in Madhya Pradesh, the public has started giving results… People are driving out ruling leaders in Madhya Pradesh]. मध्यप्रदेश में वोटिंग होने से पहले ही जनता ने रिजल्ट देना शुरू कर दिया है pic.twitter.com/1sPr91ZgFh मध्यप्रदेश में सत्ताधारी नेताओ को जनता खदेड़ रही है वीडियो पूरा देखो और RT करो बस — 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐣𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐮 (@BrijeshFaldu1) November 14, 2023 FACT CHECK When our Digiteye India team searched using key frames of the video, the results showed that it was from a Youtube video related to West Bengal Assembly elections held in 2021. The video shows BJP leader Anirban Ganguly who was being taken away after his car was damaged on the polling day. As per the news reports, the incident took place on April 29, 2021 when his car was damaged at a polling booth and people started chasing him. Securitymen can be seen taking him away from the scene.
