It is being claimed with the post that this person is the President of Russia, Putin who himself came inside the aircraft of (AI) AIR India to talk to the Indians. Vishvas News in its investigation found that this claim is false. In the viral video, the person talking to the Indian passengers is not Putin, but Rahul Srivastava, the Indian Ambassador to Romania. What’s in the viral post? Facebook user Durai Raj K posted this video on his Facebook profile with the caption “Russian President Putin himself went directly on aircraft of (AI) AIR INDIA to convince Indians. What a Respect for India. Be proud of to be an Indian “ Investigation To begin our investigation, we watched the video properly. At the beginning of the video, the man can be heard saying: “Good morning friends, my name is Rahul Srivastava and I am your ambassador to Romania.” Also, the ET Now logo can be seen below in the video. Taking a clue from here, we searched the screenshots of this video on Google reverse image using keywords. We found this video uploaded on ET Now’s Twitter handle on 25 February 2022. The description read “Whenever you face difficulty in life, remember this day & everything will be fine” – Listen in to India’s Ambassador to #Romania Rahul Shrivastava’s special message to Indian nationals onboard #AirIndia flight @AmbShrivastava @DrSJaishankar @sameerdixit16 # According to the description “Ukraine #Evacuation.” We also found this video on Piyush Goyal’s Twitter handle with the same description that the person in the video is the Indian Ambassador to Romania. We have contacted the Assistant Administration Officer at Indian Embassy in Romania regarding this. We will update this story as soon as we get a response from him. Vishvas News checked the social background of the user who shared the viral video. Durai Raj K hails from Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.
