Following the news of his passing, an outpouring of tributes has flooded social media. Amidst this, a video is going viral, with users claiming it to be a joint performance of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Zakir Hussain. In its investigation, Vishvas News found the viral claim to be fake. On December 17, 2024, Facebook user Najeeb Peerzada Syed (archive link) shared the viral post with the caption, “Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Ustad Zakir Hussain sahab” Investigation To verify the authenticity of the viral claim, we conducted a Google reverse image search using the keyframes of the video. We found the entire video uploaded on a YouTube channel ‘TheMrsinghh’, uploaded on August 5, 2011. The description of this video reads, “Ustad Tari Khan and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan live in Washington DC”.
