  • FACT CHECK: Was This 2024 Election Projection Published By Reuters? A post shared on social media purports a poll published by Reuters indicates a 2024 presidential election win for former president Donald Trump. JUST IN: Reuters poll numbers STRIKE FEAR in the DNC.. 312 to 226.. America is WAKING UP… pic.twitter.com/izuxmTykRd — Chuck Callesto (@ChuckCallesto) September 15, 2023 Verdict: False The map was made in 270towin, a website that allows users to create simulations and custom election maps. Fact Check: A former aide for President Trump claims that Rudy Giuliani groped her backstage at a rally for Trump, CNN reported. There are nine days left for the Congress to avoid a government shutdown, but Trump has voiced support for the shutdown, according to USA Today. The Twitter post purports Reuters shared results of a poll that showed Trump winning many states’ votes. The post shared an image of an alleged electoral map that has Trump winning the electoral college with 312 to President Joe Biden’s 226. The caption reads, “JUST IN: Reuters poll numbers STRIKE FEAR in the DNC.. 312 to 226.. America is WAKING UP…” There is no credible news report that suggests this is an authentic Reuters poll. Reuters released a fact check that denied publishing these numbers. The image shows a logo for 270toWin. 270toWin is a website that aggregates polls but allows users to simulate certain scenarios and hypotheticals. 270towin did release a consensus map in July but it shows a much closer race. They projected that Biden has the upper hand over a possible match up against Trump.(RELATED: No, CNN Did Not Report That Cash App Went Bankrupt) This is not the first time misinformation has been shared online.
