Every day, leaders of various political parties are coming up with new manifestos to attract the voters. On April 6, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi unveiled the Nyay Patra (Congress Manifesto) in Hyderabad , Telengana.
A 42-sec video of Rahul Gandhi is being shared on social media showing the Congress leader addressing the public in Hindi:
“देश का एक्सरे करदेंगे, दूध का दूध पानी का पानी होजाएगा, माईनोरिटिस को पता लगेगा की देशमे उनकी भागीदारी कितनी है। इसके बाद हम फाईनैनसिअल और इंस्टिट्यूशनल सर्वे करेंगे ये पता लगाएंगे हिंदुस्तान का धन किसके हाथ में, कौन सी बर्ग के हाथ में है । और इस ऐतिहासिक कदम के बाद, हम क्रांतिकारी काम सुरु करेंगे । जो आपका हक बनता है बो हम आपकेलिये आपको देनेका काम करेंगे”।
When translated, it reads: “Will conduct an X-Ray which will make things more clear. Minorities will come to know their population percentage in the country. Then will do financial & institutional survey, to decide which class is storing the substance in India. Then after this historic move, will give you what you deserve.
Social media users shared this video with the claim: “Desh ka X-Ray kar dengey. Minorities ko pata chal jayega unki bhagidari kitni hai.”

Fact Check: We found this claim is False; the video was edited and shared in social media.
When we searched “Nyay Patra - Congress Manifesto Launch in Hyderabad”, we found a live stream on Rahul Gandhi official YouTube Channel. We found the original version of the viral clip at 31.55 time stamp. In his speech, along with Minorities, Rahul mentioned about Dalits, Tribals, OBCs and poor people from the general category which was edited in viral post.
During the Google reverse image search, we found a social media user shared the original clip in his account.
Hence, the claim is false; the viral clip was edited one. In the original speech, Rahul Gandhi mentioned Dalits, Tribals, OBCs, and poor people from the general category along with Minorities.
