  • Fact Check: Fake Video Of Harsha Richcharia Goes Viral On Social Media A fake video of Harsha Richcharia, created using AI tools is going viral on social media. She has reported the matter to the cyber cell. By: Sharad Prakash Asthana - Published: Feb 18, 2025 at 01:47 PM - Updated: Feb 18, 2025 at 01:56 PM - New Delhi (Vishvas News). An objectionable video of anchor and social media influencer Harsha Richcharia, who gained attention during the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, is going viral. The video also features a policeman, leading some social media users to believe it is real. Vishvas News investigation revealed that the viral video was AI-generated. The video includes the logo of Pixversa.ai. Harsha has filed a complaint in the cyber cell regarding the matter. What is going viral? Facebook user ‘Keshubhai Mahaliya’ posted this video (archive link) on February 16, 2025, with the caption, “Whatever the outcome… but Diwanji thoroughly enjoyed Kumbh.” Two users also sent this video to Vishvas News tip line number 9599299372, requesting verification of its authenticity. Investigation The viral video has the logo of Pixversa.ai. On analysing carefully one of Harsha’s hands begins to disappear after four seconds, raising suspicions of being AI-manipulated. According to PixVersa’s website, it allows users to create AI-generated videos. Cantilux, an AI detection tool, indicated a 35% probability of the video being AI-created. The tool indicated a possibility of being AI-manipulated, though some aspects appeared natural. When we analysed a still image from the objectionable part of the video using IsItAI, a 70% probability of it being AI-generated. Next, we extracted a keyframe and conducted a Google Lens search. This led us to a video posted on Harsha’s Instagram handle on January 19, 2025 where the first few seconds match the viral video. We contacted Harsha Richcharia regarding this. She stated, “I have come across some such videos. I have complained about this to the cyber cell. This is AI-created. AI has now become very dangerous for people, especially for girls.” According to an NDTV report published on January 21, 2025, Harsha Richcharia gained significant attention at the beginning of Mahakumbh. Social media users labelled her as Sadhvi, but she clarified that she has not become a Sadhvi—she just embraced a spiritual path. Harsha was seen entering the Mahakumbh on the chariot of Niranjani Akhara, which even sparked a controversy. On Instagram, she describes herself as an anchor, social activist, and influencer. We scanned the Facebook profile of the user who shared Harsha’s fake video and discovered that the user lives in Rajkot and is influenced by an ideology. Conclusion: A fake video of Harsha Richcharia, created using AI tools is going viral on social media. She has reported the matter to the cyber cell.
