| - Fact Check: Viral cobra-catching video is from a Chhattisgarh hospital, not from Mumbai
The viral video is not from Mumbai but from Budhia Hospital, located in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh where the cobra was caught at a doctor’s clinic on September 28, 2022.

New Delhi (Vishvas News): A video of a woman holding a cobra snake is going viral on social media. Some users claim it to be from the Life Insurance of India office in Mumbai.
Vishvas News fact-checked the viral post in detail and found that the video has nothing to do with Mumbai. This has also been denied by LIC. The original video is from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, where the cobra was caught at a doctor’s clinic on September 28, 2022.
Claim
Facebook page ‘Expressions of Life’ claimed on November 13: ‘Today morning, a large cobra snake was found in the record room of the Mumbai Corporate Office of LIC at Santacruz West. A Fire Department Woman caught the snake; she knows how to handle the snake and is enjoying the spectacle. Truly amazing.’

Investigation
Vishvas News used different online tools to fact-check the viral video attributed to Mumbai. We first used Google reverse image tool but could not locate the original video; however, found another video of the same woman in the video.
It was uploaded on a YouTube channel named Kamal Chowdhary Snake Rescue Team Bilaspur. We found many videos related to snakes on this channel.
Taking the investigation forward, Vishvas News contacted Bilaspur-based Kamal Chowdhary. He said, “The viral video has nothing to do with Mumbai. This video was shot on September 28 at 8 pm. The video is of Budhia Hospital, located in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The woman in the video is Aarti, who has been working with him for many years.”
He also provided details of another video of a cobra captured at Budhia Hospital. In this video, the nameplate of Dr. Rashmi Budhia can be seen in the background.
Further, Vishvas News searched Budhia Hospital on Google Maps and secured information about the hospital. A Google search also revealed that Dr. Rashmi Budhia is associated with this hospital.
On social scanning, we found that the Facebook page Expressions of Life has 169 followers and has its own YouTube page too.
Conclusion: The viral video is not from Mumbai but from Budhia Hospital, located in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh where the cobra was caught at a doctor’s clinic on September 28, 2022.
