Claim :Viral video shows Hindu girls being rescued after being held hostage by a Muslim man on the pretext of providing jobs in a foreign country
Fact :The video is a scripted one, and does not show a real incident.
Human trafficking is the fastest growing and most profitable criminal activity after drug and arms trafficking. Many times, trusted sources like an orphanage or a placement agency runs illegal operations by transporting innocent people, especially women and children. The International Labour Organisation estimates that 2.1 million migrants work as domestic labourers across the Middle East.
A video showing a man rescuing girls held hostage in a house is in circulation with the claim that in Delhi, in the name of a foreign country job call center, people belonging to a particular community are calling Hindu girls and selling them to Arab countries.
The claim in English goes as “Do you want a job? In Delhi, in the name of job placement in a foreign country job call center, some so-called people who belong to a particular community themselves run job consultancy agencies, in which they call only Hindu girls and women on the pretext of jobs and sell them all to Arab countries. Nowadays girls of Hindu society are intoxicated with Western culture, due to which today in Delhi a civilized young man somehow recovered 3 girls from a house in Delhi itself, see in what condition everyone is. Send this video to all your contact numbers and groups and yes share it with all the girls who are crazy about Western culture get trapped in the net of wolves like these. “
The claim is also viral on WhatsApp with the caption in Telugu “జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండండి ఢిల్లీలో ఉద్యోగ కాల్ సెంటర్లో విదేశీ ఉద్యోగ నియామకం పేరుతో కొందరు వ్యక్తులు స్వయంగా జాబ్ కన్సల్టెన్సీ ఏజెన్సీని నడుపుతున్నారు, అందులో వారు ఉద్యోగాల సాకుతో అమ్మాయిలు మరియు మహిళలను మాత్రమే పిలిచి వారందరినీ అరబ్ దేశాలకు అమ్మేస్తున్నారు. ఇలాంటి తోడేళ్ల వలలో చిక్కుకోకండి.” which translates to the same claim as for the above posts.
