Way2news published the rebuttal with the caption “Attention: This is not a Way2news story. Some miscreants have fabricated our format and spreading misinformation.” ABN Andhrajyothi also published a TV report stating that the channel will take legal action against the persons spreading the fake news. Purandeswari shared a post on her X (Twitter) account, that the viral news is false and the screenshot is a fake one with the caption in Telugu: “ఓటమి భయంతో, చీప్ లిక్కర్ అమ్మకం వల్ల వచ్చిన అనుభవంతో ఇలాంటి ఫేక్ ప్రచారాలు, ఫేక్ లేటర్లు సృష్టిస్తున్న బులుగు పార్టీ” According to a report published on Eenadu, Purandeswari appealed to the Muslim community not to believe the fake news in circulation. According to The Hindu.com, BJP State President Daggubati Purandeswari condemned a fake news report in which she was quoted as expressing her intention to cancel the Muslim reservations if the BJP-TDP-Jana Sena Party (JSP) alliance came to power. She appealed to the Muslim community not to believe in the above report by pointing out that the BJP’s motto had been ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ and it was natural that such attempts would be made to damage the party’s image. Therefore, the claim that Purandeswari released a statement about canceling the Muslim quota is False. She made no such statement.
