  • A video of a huge crowd gathered on the streets is being shared on the internet with a claim that it shows Muslims recently raising anti-Hindu slogans in Ujjain on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. What have users said?: Those sharing the video have said, "This is very shocking news..Unhel, Ujjain: Muslims openly pray for the destruction of Hindus on Eid. On the day of EID, they are praying - "Hindus will be destroyed, Inshallah, Inshallah (sic)." What is the truth?: While the video is from Ujjain, it could be traced back to at least April 2024 and is not recent as claimed. As per several reports, people had raised "Israel, you will be destroyed, Inshallah Inshallah" slogans. How did we find that out?: On performing a Google Lens search on the keyframes of the video, we found a report published by Dainik Bhaskar that carried the same visuals. The report mentioned that a 35-seconds-long video from Ujjain had gone viral, where people could be seen raising "Israel, you will be destroyed" slogans. It said SP Pradeep Sharma had ordered an inquiry into the matter and had said that two videos of the incident were found. The report added that people present in Unhel first raised "Hindustan Zindabad" slogans. Following this, they also raised "Israel you will be destroyed Inshallah Inshallah" slogans. It further said that a Hindu outfit had demanded an FIR against the accused for raising anti-Hindu and anti-national slogans. Other sources: Team WebQoof found the same visual uploaded on the YouTube channel of Punjab Kesari MP. The video was shared on 12 April with a title that loosely translated to, "Slogans of 'Israel, you will be destroyed' were raised..Video of sloganeering against Israel in Ujjain goes viral." Conclusion: It is clear that an old video from Ujjain is being shared with a misleading claim. (Not convinced of a post or information you came across online and want it verified?
