The original video, published by Fox News, shows Trump shaking hands with Biden and now-former Vice President Kamala Harris. The original video is captured at a wider angle than the Facebook video, which suggests the Facebook video may have been cropped.
Fact Check:
Contrary to a recent New York Post report, Trump will not relaunch the real estate company Trump, Fulcher & Roxburgh Capital Inc., according to Fox Business. The company, which was incorporated in July 2024, was dissolved on Nov. 14, 2024, the outlet reported.
The Facebook video claims Barron Trump whispered a comment to Biden at the inauguration. According to the same video, Trump appeared to whisper a comment to Biden after shaking the now-former president’s hand. The expression on Biden’s face visibly changes following the purported comment. “Barron whispered something to Joe Biden and his face instantly changed…,” the video’s caption reads.
Besides Facebook, the claim circulated on X, where it amassed over twelve million views.
The claim is misleading. While Trump did shake hands with Biden, he did not whisper a comment to the now-former president. The original video, published by Fox News, shows Trump shaking hands with Biden before also shaking hands with Harris. The video is captured at a wider angle than the Facebook video, which suggests the Facebook video may have been cropped.
Likewise, videos shared by C-SPAN and Newsweek confirm Trump shook hands with Biden and Harris but did not whisper a comment to Biden as the Facebook clip suggests.
In addition, body language expert Judi James denied the claim in an article published by the Daily Mail.
“Barron very confidently and by all appearances charmingly bent to shake hands and exchange a few words with Biden,” James said, according to the outlet.
“And although Biden’s face seems to fall as though Barron has passed on some kind of sinister threat or message, the truth was less dramatic as Barron seemed to be leaning to greet Kamala and Biden’s face was registering the fact that he’d finished his greeting ritual with Trump’s son,” she continued, the outlet reported.

Finally, neither Biden nor President Donald Trump appears to have publicly commented on the claim.
