Delhi Riots Pre-Planned By The RSS ! Old Accident Video Shared With Misleading Claim

A Twitter user has shared a video and claimed that the Delhi riots are pre-planned by the RSS.
Verification
Ever since the violence has erupted in Delhi, there are many unverified claims doing the rounds on social media. We were flagged to fact check a video in which a kid can be seen mourning his relative’s death. The deceased, in his early 30s, is lying dead, soaked in blood and people standing around the body can be heard speaking something in their local language.

To verify this claim, we first fragmented the video and generated keyframes in order to perform a reverse image search. After performing the reverse image search, we found that the video has gone viral in the past as well. For instance, we found the same video in a tweet where it is claimed that the video belongs to Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi where police have barged into mosques and Madarsas. However, the claim was deleted so the whole claim can not be reiterated.
We also found a post on Instagram in which it is claimed that the video is related to the violence that erupted in the aftermath of the implementation of CAA. The Instagram post demands strict action against those involved in this heinous crime.

Now, as we used search engines other than Google, we found a YouTube video that contains the same visuals as of the claim. Notably, the video was uploaded on 10 November 2019. A rough translation of the title of the video reads, “Motorbike crash dead teenager on his way to attend Vishwa Navi’s birthday procession”.
We also found two articles that claim that the deceased person in the video is not a victim of any violence but he died in a motorbike accident.
A rough translation of an excerpt from the article reads, “According to police sources, the deceased was identified as Zulfiqar Alam, 5. The father’s name is Yusuf Ali. The house is located in the Hat Balrampur area of Abadpur police station in Kathia district of Bihar state. Eyewitnesses said that on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the world prophet, a procession was being celebrated all over the country as well as across the Chanchal subdivision. On that day, Zulfiqar was going to join his younger brother Swarupganj.”

It is noteworthy that the two articles stated above are published on 10 November 2019 and the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed in the parliament on 11 December 2019. Also, as claimed, the video does not belong to the violence in Delhi as the same video is available on the internet way before the violence took place.
Hence, it is evident from our fact check that the video is old and has nothing to do with the CAA or the violence erupted in Delhi a couple of days ago. However, we have not yet got any credible information about the location and time of the video and our investigation is still on. We will update our article once we get more information about the video.
