New Delhi (Vishvas News). A picture of actress Athiya Shetty lying on a bed, holding two children, is being circulated with claims that she and cricketer KL Rahul have welcomed a son.
Vishvas News investigated the claim and found it to be false. The image is edited. While the couple announced their pregnancy in November 2024, there has been no official confirmation of their baby’s birth yet.
What is going viral?
Facebook user ‘Cricmedia2024’ shared the viral picture on February 6, 2025, with the caption, “KL Rahul became a father, his wife “Athiya” gave birth to a son, congratulations should not stop friends.. “

Investigation
To verify the authenticity of the viral picture, we conducted a Google reverse image search but couldn’t find any specific information. However, a Yandex reverse image search revealed multiple versions of the same picture. In some versions, the woman’s face was replaced with that of comedian and TV personality Bharti Singh, while in others, it has been swapped with Pakistani actor Ayman Khan’s face. This picture has also been shared with Isha Ambani’s face superimposed on it.
Although we couldn’t find the original picture, it is clear that this viral picture has been edited.
Following this, we searched for any news of KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty welcoming a child using relevant keywords. On November 8, 2024, the couple shared an Instagram post announcing that they are expecting their first child, with the due date in 2025.
Athiya also shared pictures flaunting her baby bump on January 29, 2025, but she did not make any announcement regarding the delivery.
Upon searching the keywords, we did not find any credible news report confirming Athiya’s delivery.
For further clarification, we contacted Smita Srivastava, an entertainment journalist at Dainik Jagran, who confirmed that the viral claim is false. KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty have not shared any information about their child’s birth yet.
Finally, we scanned the Facebook account of the user Cricmedia2024 who shared the photo with the false claim and found that the user has over 34000 followers.
Conclusion: Vishvas News, in its investigation, found that the viral claim about Athiya Shetty’s picture is false. The image has been edited. While the couple announced their pregnancy in November 2024, there has been no official announcement regarding the birth of their baby yet.
