On Wednesday, October 28, Binay posted on Facebook that she did not vote for the approval of the bill. She said that she had to leave the hybrid Senate committee on local government hearing before the bill was tackled.
“I wish to reiterate that I did not vote for the approval of the bill and will not support any bill that would cause historical revisionism,” her post read.
This statement was also posted on the Senate website. iMPACT Leadership also posted an update and apology after Binay’s statement and removed its social media card.
