Verdict: False The claim stems from a satirical website. There is no evidence supporting the claim. Fact Check: Pelosi was honored with tributes and the unveiling of her official portrait during a Dec. 14 ceremony at the U.S. Capitol, CNN reported. The outgoing speaker announced last month she’d be stepping down from Democratic leadership, according to The Associated Press. The Facebook post purports Pelosi recently stood before a military tribunal that allegedly found her guilty of treason, seditious conspiracy, and conspiracy to commit murder. The post further claims a witness named Xavier Ramirez testified before the tribunal purporting Pelosi offered him money to hire a hitman to kill former President Donald Trump. The claim is false. There are no credible news reports suggesting Pelosi recently stood before a military tribunal or that she was allegedly found guilty of treason, seditious conspiracy, or conspiracy to commit murder. Likewise, the claim neither appears on Pelosi’s website nor her verified social media accounts. In addition, the U.S. Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps has not publicly commented on the claim. “This is not true,” Navy JAG spokesperson Devin Arneson said of the claim in an email to Check Your Fact. A keyword search reveals the claim stems from a Dec. 17 article published on the website “Real Raw News.” A disclaimer included on the site’s “About Us” page indicates it contains “humor, parody, and satire.” (RELATED: Was Nancy Pelosi Forced To Resign In Leaked Audio?) The article is also the site’s first of three articles focusing on Pelosi’s purported military tribunal. The site previously published an article claiming Navy JAG had charged Pelosi, who was then arrested and transported to Guantanamo Bay by the U.S. Special Forces following a state banquet held by President Joe Biden. Check Your Fact has also contacted Pelosi’s office for comment and will update this piece accordingly if one is received.
