  • Last Updated on August 1, 2024 by Nivedita Quick Take Various social media post claim that Pfizer has a patent for tracking vaccinated humans worldwide via microwave and graphene. We fact-checked and found this claim to be False. The Claim An Instagram post reads, “Pfizer patent approved for tracking vaccinated humans worldwide via microwave and graphene held in fatty tissues of the vaccinated.” Similar post are also available. Fact Check Does Pfizer have a patent for tracking vaccinated humans worldwide via microwave and graphene? No. There is a lack of scientific evidence to prove that Pfizer has a patent for tracking vaccinated humans worldwide via microwave and graphene. The claim originated from an article published on the website called Philosophers-Stone.info on October 14, 2021. Firstly, the patent was registered by two inventors, Gal Ehrlich and Maier Fenster, not by Pfizer, as seen in the document. Moreover, the document does not mention connecting or tracking individuals via technology that stems from COVID-19 inoculations. Tracking individuals via microwave and graphene technology is not currently possible, and there is no evidence to suggest that Pfizer or any other pharmaceutical company has developed such technology. The document does not even mention ‘microwave’ or ‘graphene’ in the entire document. The patent suggests utilizing ‘electronic devices’ and not vaccines to identify individuals with a higher degree of social interactions, prioritizing them for vaccination during periods of limited vaccine availability. This strategy is deemed more effective in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 compared to prioritizing the at-risk population. Furthermore, the CDC elaborates on digital contact tracing tools through smartphone-based exposure notifications from proximity tracking tools and on Contact Tracing for COVID-19. These too make no mention of tracking people through vaccines but mention available GPS and Bluetooth technology through electronic devices. In a False post users have claimed that the Covid-19 vaccines insert a microchip in your body and authorities can track your movements using the 5G technology.
