  • Last Updated on October 15, 2024 by Nivedita Quick Take A social media post claims the World Economic Forum claimed that the blood from prepubescent people possesses anti-aging properties. We fact-checked the social media post and found it to be False. No evidence confirms WEF has shared such a post online. The Claim An Instagram user named boho_beauty_microblading_spa has shared a social media post that has a screenshot of a Twitter post claimed to be shared by the World Economic Forum. The social media post claims WEF has referred to new research that claims the blood from prepubescent people possesses anti-aging properties. The claimant had 6,278 followers till we last checked. The screenshot of the post is attached below: Fact Check Did WEF say that the blood from prepubescent people possesses anti-aging properties? It does not seem so. No evidence confirms WEF has shared such a Twitter post. We ran an advanced search on Twitter and found no post that can show WEF has made such a claim. Even the web archive shows no evidence of such a claim on Twitter. We even researched more about the post and found that the post was kept on the buffer and was actually never published. Buffer is a Twitter app that allows social media users to add tweets to be sent on a schedule. With the buffer, users can plan out their social content in advance, view upcoming posts in a calendar view, and get insights and recommendations for when and what to post. Besides this, the website link mentioned in the post does not work. As we explore the intriguing claims surrounding anti-aging therapies, it’s also crucial to consider the respect for healthcare professionals, which can significantly impact patient care and outcomes. For a deeper understanding of these dynamics, see the findings regarding disrespect towards doctors in India. “This is fake. The World Economic Forum never published this or anything like this,” Yann Zopf, a spokesman for the organization, told AFP. “This is disturbing and worrying. We are aware that there are fake messages in our name on social media which is regrettable,” he said.
