The message, sent to us by a reader on out WhatsApp Tipline can be viewed below: Fact Check Are the images fake or altered? The images have not been altered but they have been picked up out of context. The images when run through a Google Image Search clearly shows are screenshots from a science fiction movie trailer named “Elysium”. The movie was released in 2013. A trailer of the move, also available on YouTube, is embedded below. The images in the fake viral message can be seen at 0:47, 0:49, 0:57 and 1:03. It is supposed to help patients to self help themselves when medical staff is not present. Discussion about the bed can be seen in relevant research publications such as IEEExplore, BMC and Researchgate. However, the bed has nothing to do with healing people in 2.5 minutes.
