  • Fact Check: Photos Of Sonia-Rahul Gandhi’s Meeting George Soros Are AI-Generated And FAKE The claim of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi meeting George Soros is fake. The viral pictures supporting this claim are not real but AI-generated, using the AI tool Grok. By: Abhishek Parashar - Published: Mar 4, 2025 at 02:55 PM - New Delhi (Vishvas News): A collage of pictures featuring Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi allegedly meeting George Soros is being widely shared on social media, with claims that they met Soros on multiple occasions. Vishvas News, in its investigation, found this claim to be false. The images are not original, but created using AI tools. What is viral? Social media user ‘Yash Vir Singh’ shared the viral picture with the caption, “These pictures are screaming that India needs to be freed of Congress as soon as possible. Why did Rahul Gandhi request Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to remove from record the allegations against his mother Sonia Gandhi and him regarding Soros links? He, along with Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh, met Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla and requested him to drop the allegations against him and his mother regarding their links with Soros-deep state-OCCRP. However, the Speaker has rejected his request. Why did the speaker reject his demand? This is not an allegation against him but it is the truth backed by evidence and the evidence is being presented openly inside the Parliament by Nishikant Dubey, Sudhanshu Trivedi and Sambit Patra.Remember they are all sitting MPs and they are aware of their responsibilities to make allegations. Rahul and his mother are caught red-handed and they can no longer escape the law of the country. It is so serious that they will never come out of it.” Many users have sent this picture to Vishvas News tipline to verify its authenticity. Investigation The viral infographic contains a total of five images, allegedly showing Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi meeting George Soros. One of these images even depicts Rahul Gandhi with Soros in the presence of former US President Joe Biden. However, the absence of natural elements in these pictures suggests they are AI-generated. To verify this, we analysed the images using an AI detection tool, which confirmed the probability of all these pictures being AI-generated. An analysis by Hive’s moderation tool indicated an over 80% probability of these images to be AI-created. Next, we conducted a reverse image search to find the source of all five pictures. Our investigation revealed that all these pictures were created using Grok (X’s AI tool). The first two viral images, along with their original AI-generated versions, can be seen here, confirming they were created using Grok. Similarly, the remaining three viral images and their AI-versions, can be seen here, further proving that they were AI-generated. For context, Grok is a generative AI chatbot developed by xAI, a company founded by Elon Musk in 2023. During the December 2024 Parliament session, a ruckus broke out when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey accused the Congress of colluding with George Soros and obstructing India’s progress. In response, Congress questioned the government why Dubey was allowed to make such remarks in violation of parliamentary rules. According to BBC’s December 9, 2024 report, “Nishikant Dubey had also raised this issue in Parliament on Thursday and also gave a statement in the media on this issue outside the Parliament. However, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has described Nishikant Dubey’s allegation as against parliamentary privilege. Shashi Tharoor has alleged that Nishikant Dubey was allowed to speak without giving notice to Rahul Gandhi, against the rules of Parliament.” According to the report, “BJP has been attacking the issue of American billionaire businessman George Soros earlier also. At a defense conference in Munich, Germany, early last year, George Soros had said that India is a democratic country, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not democratic and the main reason for Modi’s rapid rise to power is the violence against Indian Muslims. Soros had also mentioned Indian businessman Gautam Adani and said, “Modi and billionaire Adani have a close relationship. The future of both is tied to each other. Adani is accused of stock manipulation and Modi is silent on this matter, but he will have to answer questions from foreign investors and in Parliament.” After this, the then Union Minister Smriti Irani held a press conference, stating that George Soros’ statement was a declaration to destroy India’s democratic process. Our investigation confirms that the viral photo of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia meeting Soros is fake and was created using the AI tool Grok. Vishvas News does not verify or endorse the allegations and counter-allegations by BJP and Congress regarding George Soros and related funding matters. The user who shared the viral picture has been sharing content influenced by a particular ideology. We contacted the Congress spokesperson regarding these pictures and will update this report upon receiving a response. Conclusion: The claim of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi meeting George Soros is fake. The viral pictures supporting this claim are not real but AI-generated, using the AI tool Grok.
