Fact Video from Iraq’s Umm Qasr port falsely shared as visuals from Adani port. A video showing multiple trucks filled with cattle at a port is being widely shared on social media platforms. Those who shared the video claim that it showed cows meant for export through the Adani port – owned by Gautam Adani’s conglomerate. Newschecker found the claim to be untrue. The video is actually from a port in Iraq, and does not show cows being exported through Adani port. Such posts can be seen here, here and here. Also Read: Voter Fraud In Assam? Further, we spotted the logo of ‘Mercedes Benz’ on the trucks seen in the viral video. Notably, trucks by Mercedes Benz are not sold in the Indian markets. Daimler, a Mercedes Benz group company, sells trucks under the name ‘Bharat Benz.’ The logos of Bharat Benz and Mercedes Benz are different. Also Read: Voting Fraud Using Fake Fingers?
