The Claim “Pilots of Southwest Airlines and other major U.S. carriers have good reason for resisting vaccination mandates. Their fellow pilots who had taken the controversial Covid-19 vaccine have been dropping dead on both domestic and international flights,” reads the article published on a website named Best News Here. The article is a repost of a report published on Real Raw News that claimed that two American Airlines pilot died within 14 days. Fact Check Are American Airlines pilots dying mid flight? No. There is no proof of any pilot dying mid flight in recent days. The articles published do not mention identity of pilots, date and time of their death or furnish any other credible proof. The article quotes an unnamed source and peddles the news as a conspiracy theory. We had seen similar claims about pilots dying mid air for another airlines – Delta Airlines – in recent past, which had been refuted by the company later. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has further confirmed to USA Today that there had been no incident of pilots dying in recent days. “The FAA has seen no evidence of aircraft accidents or pilot incapacitation caused by pilots suffering medical complications associated with COVID-19 vaccines,” noted the FAA spokesperson as per USA Today report.
