  • Fact Check: Hyderabad, Mumbai or Kolkata? This flyover decked in tricolour lights is actually from Jaipur Reverse search with the keyframes of the video revealed that the flyover is in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Listen to Story India Today Fact Check This video is not from Hyderabad at all. It shows the newly-constructed Sodala Elevated Road in Jaipur, Rajasthan. On August 15 this year, India will celebrate its 75th Independence Day. Amid people using the Indian flag as their social media avatars, and various celebrations being planned across the country, a video of a city street has gone viral. Several people shared a video which shows a flyover illuminated in saffron, white, and green lights. They claimed it was from Bhagyanagar, Hyderabad. But some also claimed these sights were from other cities. Some said Borivali in Mumbai, while others said it was from Kolkata. AFWA’s investigation found all three claims were false. So, where’s the video from? We reverse searched the keyframes of the video and found it shared by an Instagram account. The account mentioned it was from Jaipur, Rajasthan. Subsequent refined searches led us to videos of the same flyover on YouTube. On the YouTube channel of First India News we found a news report from August 4, 2022. Per the report, this flyover was the Sodala Elevated Road in Jaipur. In the video news story, the reporter interviewed an official from the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA). Following this, AFWA got in touch with the JDA. “Yes, this is the video of the Sodala Elevated Road connecting Ajmer Road and Tonk Road in Jaipur,” JDA chief engineer Sanjeev Jain said. Hence, we can conclude that this video is neither from Mumbai, nor Hyderabad, nor Kolkata. It’s from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
