A few X (formerly Twitter) users started a post claiming that the famous Reynolds 045 fine carbure pen is being discontinued by Reynolds.
The claim spread like wildfire and several users started writing nostalgically about the way they used the pen in childhood. The product has been a favorite among the students in the 90s. The ‘045’ stands for 1945 when the pen was invented. Reynolds Pens is a subsidiary of Newell Brands in India.
X user named 90skid claimed, “Reynolds 045 Fine Carbure will no longer be available in the market, end of an era..”

The claim is false. The Reynolds India management has refuted the claims as misinformation.
While searching the claims and the comments on them for more information, we found a comment by a X user stating that Reynolds clarified that its 045 model will continue to be manufactured.
On the official Facebook account of Reynolds, the company issued a clarification that “In light of recent misinformation, we wish to clarify: The information being circulated is false. We strongly advise our partners, stakeholders, and customers to refer to our official website and social media channels for genuine and accurate updates. Your trust remains our topmost priority.”
The same was issued on their Instagram account.
On the company’s website, Reynolds-pens.com, the clarification read as “To our esteemed customers, partners and stakeholders

Hence, the claim that Reynolds is discontinuing the famous Reynolds fine carbure 045 pen is false. The company has no such intentions.
