Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 25 laid the foundation stone of Noida international airport at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh. The first phase of the greenfield airport is scheduled to be completed by 2024, and upon completion, it will be the largest in India.
In this context, an image of a sprawling airport is circulating on social media as the model design of Noida airport.

India Today Anti Fake News War Room (AFWA) has found that the picture in circulation is of the Beijing Daxing International Airport in China.
Using reverse image search, we came across some websites and media reports that have carried similar pictures as of China's Beijing Daxing International Airport.
A similar image was also carried by "The Guardian" in 2019 as of the Beijing airport. The airport was opened in September 2019.

A digital walkthrough of the Noida airport shared by Uttar Pradesh government sources with the media can be seen below.
Multiple media houses including India Today and NDTV have carried this video in their reports.
The video was also screened at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Noida airport on November 25.

The Noida international airport is spread over more than 1,300 hectares of land. The construction of the first phase of the airport, which is expected to be completed by 2024, is being done at a cost of over Rs 10,050 crore.
However, the viral picture is not the model design of Noida international airport. It is the Beijing Daxing International Airport in China.
