  • Fact Check: Pradhan Mantri Credit Yojana scheme is fake The speaker in the video says, “The Modi government is giving everyone good news. The latest update says that through the new scheme, people who have an Aadhar card will be getting Rs. 80,000 as a cash reward. A YouTube channel named 'Sarkari Update' claims that the central government is providing a cash reward of Rs 80,000 to all Aadhaar card holders under the 'Pradhan Mantri Credit Yojana' scheme. The speaker in the video says, "The Modi government is giving everyone good news. The latest update says that through the new scheme, people who have an Aadhar card will be getting Rs. 80,000 as a cash reward." The speaker goes on to explain how one can avail the scheme as well. (Click here to view) FACT CHECK: The fact check team searched the internet thoroughly for statements from the government that could support the claim but found none. No authentic media house or official statement by the government mentions of such a cash reward being provided to Aadhar card holders. If this scheme was announced, it would have been reported but no such reports have been published. No such scheme had ever been introduced by the central government even in the past. The fact check team searched through the official government website but did not find a scheme named 'Pradhan Mantri Credit Yojana'. A list of official schemes launched by the central government can be viewed here and here. An official Twitter handle of the government clearly says the news is fake. PIB India states that no such scheme has been introduced. However, this is not the first time the 'Pradhan Mantri Credit Yojana' scheme has misled people. Earlier, a similar claim of the central government depositing Rs 3 lakh into the bank accounts of all women in the country went viral. This too was declared fake by the PIB India. Evidently, it is clear that no such scheme exists.
