Also read: These Videos Claiming To Show Hamas Shooting Down Israeli Helicopters Taken From Gaming Footage We began by conducting a reverse image search on Yandex, which took us to many webpages that carried the same video. Rusa News, one such YouTube page, had posted the video on February 2020, with a Russian caption “Видео ! Турция выпустила по территории Сирии не менее 60 ракет !” which translates to “Video ! Türkiye fired at least 60 missiles into Syria!“ (using Google Translate) revealing that the video was from Syria. The detailed caption under the video reads “The Turkish army fired at least 60 missiles into Syria. The invasion of Syria by the Turkish military was marked by a powerful rocket attack, which the positions of the Syrian army have experienced only a few times since the start of the war in the country. Thus, according to sources, Turkey fired at least 60 missiles into Syrian territory, which were supposed to cause serious damage to the Syrian army and force it not only to abandon further offensive, but also to abandon previously occupied positions.” We also found another article published on an aviation website called avia.pro, on February 03, 2020, which relayed the same facts. It also carried a tweet by news agency NEDA post, carrying the same information. In its bio, NEDA Post describes itself as “a diverse political, cultural, social and economic news platform established to keep pace with Syrian, Arab, regional and international affairs.” However, we were not able to corroborate the details with other news agencies. Thus, we find that this video, claiming to show massive rocket attack on Tel Aviv airport, was found to be from 2020, and unrelated to the recent violence between Israel and Gaza.
