Fact :The image in circulation is edited. Two different images have been combined to make a false claim
After seven months of pre-wedding celebrations, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot on July 12, 2024. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, actor John Cena, and former British leaders Tony Blair and Boris Johnson attended the wedding. Bollywood celebrities including Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan and his family, Shah Rukh Kahn, Salman Khan, etc. also made their presence felt at the function. However, Aishwarya Rai did not attend the wedding with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and the rest of the family which raised the brows of both onlookers and netizens.
Before joining the wedding, the guests posed for the media outside the venue. An image showing Aishwarya Rai posing with Salman Kahn and his sister Arpita Khan is going viral with the claim that Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan took a picture together after Aishwarya Rai ditched Abhishek Bachchan and his family.
A few social media users shared the image with the caption “Salman Aishwarya. Aishwarya didn’t come with the Bachchan family and now she’s taking pictures with Salman Bhai. This is my multiverse of madness”
Fact Check:
The claim is False. Two images of Salman Khan with Arpita Khan and Aishwarya Rai with her daughter Aaradhya have been combined to make false claims.
When we searched the image using reverse image search, we found a few videos and images showing that Salman Khan posed for the images alone and not with Aishwarya Rai. A video published by a YouTube channel named Viralbollywood shows Salman Khan arriving at Anant Ambani- Radhika Merchant's wedding. He poses alone for the media for a while and then is joined by his sister Arpita Khan.
We also found that several news websites published photos of Salman Khan arriving at the wedding along with Arpita Khan.
We also found a video published by a YouTube channel named Mana Stars where Aishwarya Rai is seen entering the wedding premises along with her daughter Aaradhya and posing for photos.
We found an image published by ANI showing Aishwarya posing along with her daughter, which matched with her pose and attire in the viral image. This proves that the viral image has been modified digitally, adding Aishwarya Rai to another image that shows Salman Khan and his sister Arpita Khan.
Therefore, the viral image of Aishwarya Rai posing for pictures with Salman Khan is edited. The claim is false.
