The post, shared by many social media users, has the 'love jihad' angle to it. It does not specify where the incident has taken place. India Today's Anti Fake News War Room (AFWA) has found that the photo is related to a case of domestic violence in Pakistan's Lahore. The post, shared by Facebook user Anju Katiyar, has been widely circulated on the Internet. Till the time of filing this story, it was shared by more than 1,900 users. The caption with the photo says: #LoveJihad ka maja, iss ladki ne Hinduo ko chhodkar Musalman se shadi ki, nateeja aapke samne (This Hindu girl married a Muslim, and the result is in front of you). A simple reverse search revealed the truth behind the image. We found a news report of Pakistan's media house GeoTV , which used the viral image. The article discussed about a case two women of Lahore who were victims of domestic violence by their husbands. While one woman was named Hazra, the other was Asma Aziz.
