A Dalit student has been allegedly killed by a teacher for drinking water in a school in Jalore. But the viral video is of a different incident from Bihar.
A nine-year-old Dalit boy died on Saturday after he was allegedly beaten up by a teacher for drinking water from a pot in a private school in Rajasthan's Jalore district.
Amidst the public outrage over the shocking incident, a Facebook user posted a video of a man brutally thrashing a boy and claimed that this was how the teacher killed the boy for drinking water.
India Today Anti Fake News War Room (AFWA) has found that the video is unrelated to the Jalore incident. The video was shot in Bihar earlier this year where a tuition teacher was arrested for brutally beating a student.
