An old photo of Imran Khan's supporter has been edited to insert a gun.
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was allowed by an Islamabad court to go back without his indictment in the Toshakhana case after he marked his attendance outside the court complex.
While 'Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf' (PTI) chairman Khan was on his way to Islamabad for the court hearing, the police broke into his home. Over 30 party workers were arrested.

Meanwhile, an outraging image of a man waving a gun from a vehicle has gone viral on social media. Some users while sharing the image claimed that the man is a PTI supporter, and that he carried a gun at an election rally led by Khan in March 2023.
Mubasher Lucman, a known Pakistani journalist and anchorperson, was one of the first to share the picture on March 8, the day Khan suspended his election rally in Lahore after Police went berserk on his supporters. While sharing the viral image, he tweeted, "PTI is a law-abiding party."
His tweet has gone viral and has been shared more than 2500 times.
The archived version of this tweet and other similar claims can be seen here and here.
We found that the photo has been digitally altered to add the gun.
AFWA Probe
We performed a reverse image search with relevant keywords to know the veracity of the photo.
The search led to us the original photo, in high resolution, on Getty Images, a website that provides stock images. It was published on the platform on August 15, 2014. No gun could be seen in this photo.
The description of the photo reads, "Supporters of Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) or Movement for Justice arrive in Islamabad to take part in Azadi (Freedom) march on August 15, 2014."
The original photo provided credit to the Turkish state news agency Anadolu.
Thereafter, we again searched the internet for keywords like, "Azadi March", "Freedom March" and "Imran Khan".
On August 15, 2014, Khan organised the "Azadi March", a 370-km long journey, to press for the resignation of the then Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
