| - Did President-elect Donald Trump release a statement ordering the Dallas police to prepare to make an arrest over John F. Kennedy's assassination? No, that's not true: The image that mimics a Trump/Vance Transition press release is fake. A search of Trump's Truth Social account did not find any matching statement. There are no credible news reports of him ordering the Dallas police to make an arrest of someone involved in the 1963 assassination of the former president.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) on X on November 27, 2024. It said:

The tweet included a statement that used the Trump/Vance Transition logo and a video of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. speaking with Tucker Carlson about Trump's statement that he plans to establish a commission to declassify documents regarding JFK's assassination.
The message from Trump began:
On Behalf of Incumbent President Donald Trump, and Robert F. Kennedy we are here by ordering the Dallas Police Department and the Dallas Attorney General's office to begin preparation for the arrest and prosecution of Ruth Paine (9-3-1932) for Conspiracy to Commit the Murder of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963.
Had Trump ordered to begin preparation for an arrest in the JFK assassination case, that would have been national and international news. However, a search on Google (archived here) and Google News (archived here) did not return any credible news stories.
There is no such message on Trump's Truth Social account (archived here), where he posts all his news, as of publication date.
Another account (archived here) replied to the post with the message, "I wish this were real lol," and the original poster (archived here) admitted it was fake, replying, "Me too. We can make it real! We have the power. We ARE the media."

The tweet from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. included in the post is real. He posted it on his X account (archived here) on August 27, 2024, and included a video of his appearance on "The Tucker Carlson Show." Nowhere in the interview between the two do either of them say that Trump has ordered Dallas police to prepare to arrest someone for JFK's assassination.
