New York had originally been due to travel on Sunday but will now fly to Orlando, Florida early Tuesday for the last-eight clash with the Liga MX side. The altered schedule came after three New York players returned positive samples for coronavirus during routine testing in the past week. The last of the three positives was registered on Friday. All other players and staff have returned negative tests since then, the club said. The identities of the players involved were not disclosed but New York said in a statement the team had acquired goalkeeper Mason Stajduhar on loan from Orlando City following the rash of cases. "2020 has brought forth a tremendous number of challenges, and every team across the league has needed to adapt very quickly to unique scenarios," New York sporting director David Lee said. "Unfortunately, our goalkeeper pool has been greatly affected throughout the past week due to COVID protocols." New York are bidding to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg of the quarter-finals played in March, before the pandemic halted the competition. rcw/jc
