A Nigerian separatist leader, Nnamdi Kanu, whose whereabouts were unknown, has been arrested to face trial, the country's justice minister said Tuesday. "Nnamdi Kanu has been intercepted... He has been brought back to Nigeria, in order to continue facing trial after disappearing, while on bail regarding 11 count charge against him," Abubakar Malami -- who is also attorney general -- said in a statement, adding that the head of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) movement was detained on Sunday. He is facing trial for terrorism. bur-lhd/spm
