| - Here are the latest developments in the coronavirus crisis: The Czech Republic and Ukraine join the growing list of countries closing their borders, after Slovakia, which has made an exception for Poles. Pakistan closes its borders with Iran and Afghanistan. Austria suspends flights with France, Spain and Switzerland, and Turkey does so with nine European countries. Russia is to reduce its air links with the 27-nation EU from Monday. Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Venezuela and most German regions become the latest countries to announce that their schools will be closed. Disney closes its giant theme parks in Florida, California and Paris. New York bans gatherings of more than 500 people, including in Broadway theatres. In France, the Chateau of Versailles, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum close. Greece does the same with its museums and archeological sites. Since late December, more than 141,505 cases have been recorded in 124 countries and territories, killing 5,365 people, according to an AFP tally compiled at 1730 GMT on Friday based on official sources. The worst affected countries in terms of fatalities are mainland China, with 3,176 deaths, Italy with 1,266 deaths and 514 in Iran. Europe is the "epicentre" of the pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) says. German first division Bundesliga games are halted, as are England's Premier League, and the US NHL ice hockey season. In France all football games and professional rugby leagues are suspended. Among postponements are the Tour of Italy, the Indian cricket championship, the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, and the Boston Marathon.
