Formula One qualifying for Sunday's Styrian Grand Prix was delayed after heavy rain but finally got underway at 1546 local time (1346GMT) on Saturday, the event's Race control has announced. It was also confirmed that the use of Drag Reduction Systems (DRS) has been stopped due to the very wet conditions following heavy rain. The session was delayed 45 minutes and caused the cancellation of final practice on Saturday morning. The session was passed to proceed following a Safety Car test of the wet track and with cloud cover having lifted to allow for emergency helicopters to take off if necessary. str/nr
