The cut-off date for the projections was around two weeks ago, before the virus gripped Italy and made it the hardest-hit nation after China. "The spread of the coronavirus adds a new and substantial source of downside risk to the global growth," she said. Inflation, already well below the ECB's target of just under two percent, is "likely to decline considerably over the coming months". Here is a table with all the ECB's major projections. The previous forecasts are given in brackets.
