Several protesters from the anti-government yellow vest movement lose their eyes in clashes with police during the wave of often violent demonstrations that shook the country in 2018 and 2019. Another loses a hand picking up a police flash-ball grenade. Three police officers are charged with manslaughter after a 42-year-old motorbike delivery rider Fredric Chouviat dies after being pinned to the ground during a routine check.
