BOOM found that the incident is from Macapá in Brazil where a woman jumped from a moving vehicle on March 28. BOOM has chosen not to include the video given its graphic nature. The Claim The video was shared with the caption, "CCTV footage from Faridabad shows a woman thrown from a moving car after a horrific 3-hour gang rape. News Report From Brazil: We first broke the video into keyframes and analysed by running reverse image search and relevant keyword searches. The search led us to an Instagram post published by Brazilian news outlet Cidade News on March 29, 2026. The post featured the same footage and stated that the incident took place on March 28 on Mato Grosso Street, located in the Pacoval neighbourhood in the northern zone of Macapá city, Brazil. A search using Portuguese keywords led to Brazilian media coverage of the incident. G1 reported on March 30, 2026, quoting senior police officer Manoel Pacheco, that the suspect was taken into custody and the victim was hospitalised with multiple injuries. According to the suspect, the argument stemmed from jealousy, and the victim jumped from the vehicle. The victim later confirmed the same account at the hospital. The report further noted that the victim’s brother and sister-in-law, who were also in the car, corroborated the driver’s version. According to the article, police are investigating whether the man incited the act, while ammunition recovered from the vehicle was seized. 2.
