| - The Justice Department truly released an FBI intake form documenting a tip from June 21, 2021. The department published the form with redactions along with other case files pertaining to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Officials have not announced information substantiating or debunking the unfounded claims.
According to the posts, the tipster — a man whose name was redacted — called the FBI and alleged Trump knew of and funded sex parties involving minors, and said he had audio recordings confirming Trump's participation. The tipster also alleged slayings and burials of young girls "behind the 19th hole" at one of Trump's golf courses.
In sum, the Justice Department truly released an FBI intake form, dated June 21, 2021, containing those details during or prior to late January 2026.
In an emailed statement, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson did not speak to the specific claims. Jackson shared a statement the Trump administration has sent to news media outlets since at least February. That statement said, in part, Trump has "been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein," adding, "President Trump has done more for Epstein's victims than anyone before him."
On Jan. 30, the Justice Department announced the publication of more than 3 million additional pages related to Epstein's case files. The dates of some social media users' posts indicated the in-question FBI intake form was potentially part of that release.
That Justice Department announcement included a broad disclaimer about trusting "untrue and sensationalist claims," concluding, "To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility,
We emailed the FBI to request information regarding whether officials investigated the claims and will update this article if we receive further information.
Researching the rumor
Searches of Bing, DuckDuckGo, Google and Yahoo for the claim Trump "knew and funded underage sex parties" located a June 9 Miami New Times article as the apparent primary reason for the spike in the users' interest in the subject. The story's headline read, "Epstein file says Trump 'knew and funded underage sex parties' at his golf course."
Users shared a link to Miami New Times' article, or discussed the rumor itself, on Bluesky (archived), Facebook (archived), Reddit (archived), Threads (archived), TikTok (archived) and X (archived), for example. Further searches located numerous users' social media posts about the FBI intake form as far back as Jan. 30 — the day the Justice Department released the new batch of Epstein files.
The FBI intake form — labeled EFTA01249507.pdf — begins, "On 06/21/2021 at 04:07 p.m. [redacted], date of birth [redacted], called FBI National Threat Operation Center (NTOC) to report Donald Trump knew and funded underage sex parties at the Donald Trump Golf course."
The document continues with the tipster, who the FBI documented as saying he was a former cartel member, claiming to have audio recordings implicating Trump in crimes that the tipster allegedly sent to a lawyer in the Cayman Islands. The form made no mention of the tipster saying he made backup copies of the recordings.
The tipster then advances an unfounded claim alleging the late Robin Leach — famous for his voice on the TV show "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" — once strangled a girl, and details similarly unsubstantiated information about secret burials of young girls "behind the 19th hole" at one of Trump's golf courses:
[Redacted] was recently interviewed by an FBI Agent, however he felt "triggered" as a victim and did not report all of the information. [Redacted] had recordings of Donald Trump, Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell discussing marketing strategies for high profile sex parties at the Donald Trump Golf Course; however, [redacted] mailed the recordings to a lawyer in the Cayman Islands. [Redacted] was part of the Sinaloa Cartel and worked closely with Epstein and Maxwell; however, he was able to walk away from the cartel due to his status with Epstein and Maxwell. In the recordings, Trump stated he was aware of the underage sex parties and charged the house money of the golf course to fund the sex parties.
[Redacted] witnessed Robin Leach strangle a young girl during a sex party. He claims she is buried behind the 19th hole at the Donald Trump Golf Course. [Redacted] is aware of three separate occasions in which girls were murdered and buried there. [Redacted] was told if he spoke about the incident he witnessed, he would end up in the hole as well. [Redacted] gave Maxwell the idea to put cameras in at the Golf course to review the Cartel members and understand how to market the twelve- to fourteen-year-old victims to the Cartel.
The mention of a 19th hole potentially refers to a special 19th hole for golfers at Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck in New Jersey. The Trump Organization purchased the property in 2008. In early 2009, Trump received approval from the Colts Neck Township planning board to build the 19th hole — an addition surrounded by water. The FBI intake form did not specify any dates of the alleged killings of young girls.
Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles features a restaurant named The 19th Hole. Epstein mentioned a "19th hole" in an email exchange at least once, as well.
PolitiFact noted the timing of the alleged falling out between Trump and Epstein was unclear, with reporting suggesting the two men ended their friendship in 2004, 2007 or a different year.
For further reading, we previously reported about an FBI tip in which a woman alleged Trump witnessed her uncle kill her newborn child and dispose of the body in Lake Michigan when she was 13, and that Epstein trafficked her for sex.
