New Delhi (Vishvas News). Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi arrived at the Parliament on December 16, 2024, with a bag supporting Palestine. Later, on December 17, 2024, Priyanka arrived with a new bag displaying a slogan in support of the minorities of Bangladesh, which read, “Stand with the Hindus and Christians of Bangladesh.” Meanwhile, a picture of Priyanka Gandhi is going viral, falsely showing her bag with the text, “I don’t care about Bangladeshi Hindus.”
Vishvas News investigated the viral picture and found it to be fake. The viral picture has been deliberately tampered by modifying the original picture of Priyanka Gandhi.

Facebook user Manoj Sharma shared a picture of Priyanka Gandhi with the caption “I do not care about Bangladeshi Hindus.”

Investigation
Vishvas News initially used Google Lens to verify the authenticity of the viral picture of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi. During the search, we found the original picture on Jagran.com. This news report, published on December 17, 2024, provided a detailed account of Priyanka Gandhi carrying a bag in the Parliament. According to the report, “Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi arrived in Parliament on Monday with a bag supporting Palestine, which led to heavy criticism from the BJP. A leader close to Imran Khan in Pakistan also praised Priyanka for this, fueling up the controversy further. However, Priyanka responded by carrying a new bag the next day, with a slogan in support of the Hindus of Bangladesh. On Tuesday, she along with other Congress MPs, protested in the Parliament, demanding justice for the Hindus and Christians facing atrocities in Bangladesh.” You can read the full news report here.
During the investigation, we found a reel on Priyanka Gandhi’s Instagram handle that featured the original picture and video. This reel was uploaded on December 17, 2024.
Congress media panellist Dr Ajay Upadhyay shared a picture of Priyanka Gandhi, in which she expressed her support for the minorities of Bangladesh. The bag displays the message “Stands with the Hindus and Christians of Bangladesh.”
The investigation has revealed that Priyanka Gandhi’s photo was tampered with. The words “I don’t care about Bangladesh Hindus” were deliberately added to the photo.
Congress national spokesperson Supriya Shrinet also called the viral picture fake. She shared the real picture of Priyanka Gandhi with us.
At the end of the investigation, we searched for the user who shared the fake picture. The user lives in Jamshedpur and has around 2000 followers.
Conclusion: Vishvas News investigated and found that the viral photo of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi is fake. It has been created by tampering with her original photo.
