Former President Donald Trump and Vice Presidential candidate J.D. Vance were recent guests, along with Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT). Von has also been active on the social media outlet X, where he posts about fantasy football and interacting with fans. He has also recently been getting into political commentary more and more, with his views seemingly mirroring those such as Elon Musk and Robert F. This claim is false, however. In the replies below the post, Von himself responded calling the claim “bullshit.” bullshit. i gotta get my mom a home and the most ive ever bet is $220 — Theo Von (@TheoVon) October 24, 2024 A Google search for other outlets reporting the story turns up nothing except for an article published by the EconoTimes, which claims to be “a global, independent publication that delivers comprehensive news, analysis, and insights on the economy, finance, and markets.” In their article, they offer no evidence or proof that the bet was actually made. They claim that Von made the claim himself on a podcast but do not say which one, and they acknowledge that the comedian may have been joking when he made the supposed claim. The post with the false claim has since been struck with a Community Note.
